Door Strike Plate Repair and Installation

This project involves repairing and replacing a door strike plate. The existing strike plate is damaged, and the screw holes don't align with the new strike plate because the previous one was shorter.

• The existing strike plate needs to be removed.
• The damaged area in the door jamb needs to be repaired. This may involve filling and sanding.
• New strike plate needs to be installed, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
• The work area needs to be cleaned up and debris removed.

The image shows the damaged strike plate and the misaligned screw holes. I need to be able to drill through the bottom of this strike plate; the previous one was shorter so the screw holes don't match up.
